Job summary We are delighted to have an opportunity to recruit a Cancer Support Worker to join our establish team of cancer clinical nurse specialists within Upper GI Cancer.Working with speciality teams to improve the patient experience.
You will work to ensure that patients are seen promptly and by the most appropriate person.
You will work with the MDT to support the development of the new stratified patient support pathways.You will work across our two main hospital sites as the service requires.
You will receive support to develop into this new role alongside our existing support worker and CNS team.

You will play a significant role in the co-ordination of Holistic Needs Assessments and supporting our Upper GI Clinical Nurse Specialists in Clinical activity as well and undertaking administrative tasks.
You will be supporting patients to aid in personalising their care.
You will be helping to coordinate patient care and effective access in and out of the service.
