Company Profile A highly regarded, specialist provider of precision machined parts & components to the Aerospace, Defence and Automotive industry are expanding and looking for Manual Machinists, working in their Production department.
Job Profile The role will involve operating various machines to produce conforming product.
Aid the set up and preparation of materials and tooling for upcoming jobs, working from engineering drawings to produce precision spec components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industry.
Duties: Operating CNC Machines (previous experience on either manual or CNC Machines will be considered as training will be provided).
Aid machine operating from one job to another within a set time frame.
Ability to read and understand drawings.
Operating and maintaining machinery for CNC turning, milling, grinding and gear cutting.
Change and adjust machine parameters and tooling as required to meet dimensional and output requirements.
Able to use micrometres, verniers and other inspection equipment to check work to drawing dimensions and validation sheets.
Apply appropriate deburring in accordance with the design specifications.
Running multiple machines when the component and/or batch sizes allow.
Meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards.
Deal with technical queries where possible, as and when required.
Support colleagues by assisting with other duties when required, to aid the smooth running of the Company.
Work in accordance with the quality system and processes of the company.
Be punctual at all times.
Report any issues to the Unit Manager or Supervisor asap.
Adhere to the companys health and safety requirements and complete training as required.
Skills & Attributes: Experience operating CNC or Manual machines.
Ability to read and understand drawings.
The ability to use a range of measuring equipment.
Good math and technical skills.
Knowledge and experience of systematic problem solving.

Hours of Work: 37 hours p/wk.
14:45 00:00; there is an overlap of 30 minutes for a handover between 1 st and 2 nd shift.
Breaks: 30-minute paid break from 18:45 19:15.
£17.50/hour + shift premium of 20% on all the hours on that shift (i.e.
37 hours).
Overtime available, paid at x1.5hrs.
