Position: Machine Operator – Buzz Saw & CNC Machines

Overview:
Kennametal is seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Operator to join our ceramic machine shop team in Newport. In this role, you will operate buzz saw machines and various CNC machines, ensuring production meets our high standards for precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate buzz saw machines and a variety of CNC machines in the ceramic machine shop.
Perform routine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance.
Maintain and monitor production quality, ensuring work aligns with technical specifications and quality standards.
Carry out regular maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines.
Adhere to health and safety standards and company policies at all times.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30
Friday: 07:00 – 12:30
Total weekly hours: 37.5
Salary & Benefits:
Annual salary: £30,000

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience operating buzz saw or CNC machines (experience in ceramics manufacturing is a plus).
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
