Moreton in Marsh £34,000 inc shift I am looking for machine operators for a specialist manufacturing company The Role The Machine Operator role is responsible for the safe operation of production equipment to deliver customer requirements through completion of the production plan, adhering to quality standards and maximising cost effectiveness, optimal running and equipment efficiency.
You will be expected to carry out maintenance such as Cleaning and inspection activities and record any issues/problems.
A converting Machine Operator should master the operation of a series of machines to provide factory resilience Rotating Days/Nights 12hrs (41hrs) £34,000 (£12.03ph plus 33% Shift uplift) You are entitled to 6.6 weeks of holiday entitlement each year.

Your paid hours of work will be 41 hours per week, on a rotating shift pattern Shift 1 (inc. 1 hour of unpaid breaks) Shift 2 (inc. 1 hour of unpaid breaks) Monday 9.30am – 6.30pm (8hrs) Monday 6.30pm – 6.30am (11hrs) Tuesday 6.30am – 6.30pm (11hrs) Tuesday 6.30pm – 6.30am (11hrs) Wednesday 6.30am – 6.30pm (11hrs) Wednesday 6.30pm – 6.30am (11hrs) Thursday 6.30am – 6.30pm (11hrs) Thursday 6.30pm – 3.30am (8hrs) Key Responsibilities Set up machines (Knifes, rolls calibration, cleaning etc.)
to start a production cycle Control and adjust machine settings (e.g.
speed & tension) during operation Fix issues that might occur during the shift Check product output to spot any machine or material related mistakes or flaws Keep records of approved and defective units or final products, plus correctly labelling & packing products Able to maintain a clean & tidy work environment.
Contribute to the Continuous Improvement of products & processes Requirements and skills Ideally experience as a machine operator Working knowledge of high-speed rotary machinery Understanding of production procedures Ability to read product specifications & machine instructions Proficient in Reading, Writing and Maths, coupled with inputting of data & transactions in the company computer systems Able to work well in a team, supporting your colleagues where needed.
