Summary: Nijhuis Saur Industries UK and Ireland are delivering a large new water treatment plant near the existing Church Wilne Water Treatment Works.
The project is currently in the Mechanical and Electrical installation phase with commissioning due to start.
To ensure we are ready for the commissioning on site, we are looking to add an M&E Commissioning Engineer to the team reporting into the Site Manager and the Senior Project Manager.
Job Description: Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and assist in the delivery of MEICA solutions and systems integration.
Configuration of analytical equipment to process requirements, i.e.
calibration, interfacing with monitoring equipment etc.
Carry out regular Progress meetings with the Technology Providers.
Production and assessment of RAMS, Manage and Update the M&E Project Progress Reports.
Audit subcontractor performance and inspect sub-contractor installation.
Management of project installation and production of all relevant documentation to successfully close out the project.
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Demonstrating safe behaviours, adhering to site safety rules and proactive creation of task specific RAMS and permits.
Working under and adhering to the site permitting regulations, implementing and refreshing initiatives to improve behaviours relating to SHEQ.
Understanding of and adherence to Electrical Safety Rules.
General Management To liaise with design and suppliers / sub-contractors to ensure that equipment is fully set up and commissioned.
Ensure technical input and expertise is best utilised, adherence to the overall commissioning plan and ensuring equipment is FAT tested.
Responsible for providing input to the project manager and site manager for the 4WLA.
Ensure capture of installation, testing and commissioning data on commissioning sheets daily.
Responsible for snag free installation and commissioning.
Client Facing Building and maintaining relationships within the Client organisation, particularly Service Delivery (Operations).
Inputting to reports and other briefings for client management.
Liaison with the client representatives from Asset Creation (AC) and Service Delivery (SD) on an ongoing basis as well as liaison with client SAP and actively participate in site meetings.
Carrying out training of the clients operational staff.
Technical Knowledge and experience of the engineering discipline appropriate with the project scope Full project cycle commissioning input (from outline design to final commissioning and handover) Co-ordinate and produce commissioning plans for approval, ensuring that all relative documentation is completed Able to write commissioning plans, procedures and carry out hands on commissioning activities Electrical conversant to 18 th or any subsequent edition of the Electrical Regulations Demonstrated ability to understand the water and wastewater treatment processes as a whole and commission in a structured manner FAT testing and management of close out of defects found as well as demonstrated ability to carry out trouble shooting Management of Process / M&E through design refinement and scope change Review electrical and/or mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, FDS documents, P&I documents and instigate required design change as and when necessary Co-ordination of project commissioning activities and close liaison with any 3rd party Commissioning Engineers ensuring successful commissioning.
Manage Process / M&E Design and Scope Changes as well as M&E Programme updates with the Planning team (monthly) Ensure the technical solution delivery is consistent across the project life cycle from early involvement to completion Ensure best practice, technical bulletins and lessons learned are utilised Qualifications: Experience with a main contractor working on Water and Wastewater Process Engineering projects.
