Key responsibilities - Taking a pivotal role in M&A tax projects, delivering technical work in accordance with the firm's standard procedures and ensuring agreed arrangements with the client are met, including costs and timescales.
- Actively maintaining existing client relationships, responding quickly to external and internal queries.
- Completing due diligence projects by conducting and supervising on corporate tax elements whilst liaising with other specialist teams as required.
- Delivering tax structuring advice pre- and post- transaction to provide tax efficient solutions for clients.
- Supervising and developing more junior staff, including delegation, reviewing work, on-the-job coaching and carrying out requested feedback.
- Briefing junior staff on the client's business and the pre-assignment instructions to supervising and controlling the completion of work.
Skills and requirements - CCTA / ATII qualified is preferred or equivalent, ideally along with an accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
- Previous experience operating at Assistant Manager or Manager level (or equivalent) is necessary, or can demonstrate the skill set required to undertake the role.
- Good knowledge of Transactions Tax, in a specialist capacity or as a Corporate Tax professional.
- Proven experience in client handling and building good relationships.
