The Team You will work on the origination and execution of lead advisory mandates in the mid-market and specialise within the North to help financial services, corporate and private equity clients across different sectors and coverage areas to achieve their strategic objectives of buying or selling their company from initial strategic review to successful completion.

Senior and trusted client relationships across mid-market and global companies, new strategic entrants, financial investors and leading entrepreneursAn enviable set of market credentials across each of KPMG's major service linesA diverse skill set and deep sector expertise spanning across all sectors Roles and ResponsibilitiesManage M&A projects (with support from and reporting into Associate Director/ Director / Partner) including being the day to day point of contact for clients.Actively managing client interfaces taking responsibility for managing all phases of the transaction cycle and deal execution.Leading and managing the delivery of marketing documentation, as well as pitch materials and client proposalsDirecting and managing junior colleagues, analysts and support staff on M&A transactions, including reviewing their workCoaching and contributing to the development of junior team members Set, monitor and control M&A project budgets, billing and other reporting requirementsTaking responsibility for, and proactively assisting business development efforts, including pitching for new work Experience & BackgroundMust have relevant corporate finance experience in an investment bank, property consultancy, Big 4 or mid-tier or private equity firm Significant transactional experience with a demonstrable track record of deal execution across all phases of the deal lifecycle from origination through to completion, particularly sell side transactionsIdeally experience of working on transactions involving private equityStrong project management skillsAbility to work on a range of projects simultaneously to demanding timetables.Personal drive and integrity to deliver results within tight deadlinesCommitment to high quality standards and a detail-oriented approachIndependent thinker with the ability to identify problems and contribute to the development of solutionsComfortable discussing financially related commercial issues.Financial modelling including LBO & DCF analysisStrong academic backgroundStrong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPersonable team player with the ability to create confidence and trust with both colleagues and clients Able to build and develop strong relationships with clients and multipliers in the market
