The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, in-depth knowledge of capital modelling and profit testing as well as considerable experience of mortality analysis and assumption setting.If the above applies to you and you are open to a new professional challenge with a reputable life and pensions company, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities: Leading projects related to longevity, assumption setting, longevity risk, and capital modelsBuild and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholdersTaking charge on various areas of thought leadership - longevity, annuities etc.Longevity researchConduct reinsurance pricing activities, including discussions with reinsurers and negotiate reinsurance termsWorking with the Origination team and pension schemes to design and administer capital efficient solutions that effectively manage riskOversee operation of reinsurance treaties, including collateral arrangements where appropriateManaging/mentoring junior members of the teamOverseeing some of the technical aspects of models and experience analysis - development, implementation, calibration, testingContribute to the risk management function from a BPA perspectiveAd hoc tasks as requiredComply with relevant industry regulations and notify the regulator(s) of matters reasonably expected to be notifiedCore Competencies: Understanding of capital modelling and profit testingExperience of mortality analysis and assumption settingStrong knowledge of UK Defined Benefit Pensions and reinsurance structuresStrong communication skills (able to communicate technical issues to senior people including non-actuaries)Experience and Qualifications: Qualified ActuaryExperience of working within the Actuarial Function of a UK Life assurerExperience of managing stakeholders at all levels
