We are looking for an enthusiastic doctor to join our team from 3rd March 2025. Ideally looking to cover 6-8 sessions, Monday to Thursday but not essential. We can be flexible with other days and are willing to negotiate working hours to fit around childcare etc. Job share would also be considered.
ABOUT US We pride ourselves on being a close, supportive team who are all still enthusiastic about our jobs and the care of our patients. We have a strong focus on work/life balance and support one another to try to ensure everyone gets home on time. As a team, we try to make time in our busy day to have lunch together as we realize the importance of time away from the computer screen and maintaining team morale.
Our practice is located in central Falkirk with good transport links and plenty of options for takeaway lunches! Our patient list size is 5,600 patients and has a predominantly deprived patient demographic which has its challenges but we definitely never have a dull day!
Our team includes 2 GP partners, 1 salaried GP, 1 practice nurse, a good complement of PCIP staff including ANP, MHN, Pharmacy and Technician cover, and Advanced Physiotherapist, as well as our friendly administrative team, all of whom are trained in signposting and workflow optimisation. We are fortunate to have community nurses still in our building which allows for better communication and care of our housebound and palliative patients.
We hold weekly clinical team meetings where we discuss difficult cases, unusual results, brainstorm, and sometimes have a much-needed rant! We also hold regular MDT meetings with other members of the multidisciplinary team, including monthly Gold standards palliative care meetings and a monthly whole practice team meeting. We would encourage any doctors joining the team to attend these meetings and would fully support integration into the team during their time here.
