We are seeking skilled Tactical Planners to provide expert planning support for Electricity Transmission projects.
In this role, you will focus on either Assurance or Tactical Planning, ensuring consistent application of planning processes and delivering reliable outputs for data capture and performance reporting.
You will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of projects by providing insights, compliance analysis, and actionable recommendations.
Duties: Engage with key stakeholders to establish timelines for production of quality assured and cost loaded, out turned deliverable programmes for sanction, that meet the capital plan year on year Support the Contracts team specialists to consistently evaluate tender returns within procurement guidelines and demonstrate that the contractor has understood its obligation to provide the works Own all aspects of the planning process from the integrated programme, the critical paths, scenario mapping, national grid programmes and the contractor programmes During delivery support the Project Manager to certify that all subsequent contractor programmes are compliant to the NEC and works information Ensure compliance with cost loading of programmes, as applicable, in line with the latest WBS structure and appropriate level cost capture and earned value to enable unit cost reporting Monthly contractor programme analysis and feedback to Project Manager including update on run rates, schedule risks and mitigation measures / opportunities Consistently apply all planning, cost loading and earned value principles in line with agreed processes to enable consistent and accurate data capture and reporting Maintain a consistent project baseline to measure performance Version 1.0 December 2015 Carry out impact assessments of early warnings or change events either from our supply chain or Project Manager.
Assess and validate supply chain progress during design and attend site during delivery to confirm construction progress Support the Delivery Teams with Ofgem re-openers and/or regulatory reporting Represent the company whilst engaging with contractor planning resource to complete month end reporting routines, and liaise with stakeholders to raise exceptions early to enable corrective actions, as well as share good practices Continuously review and improve processes by raising innovative solutions to drive value and establish best practice planning and control Candidate requirements: Effective stakeholder engagement skills Carried out client programme development for initial project phases Evaluated tender programmes for compliance to NEC clauses for Planning and Early Warning Experience in delivery of projects during construction during civils installation Advanced knowledge of P6 or equivalent planning tool Skilled capability to assess change and impact assessment on time risk allowance and forensic analysis Advanced understanding of the key NEC clauses for Planning and Early Warning Competent in WBS Cost Management and cost loaded programme management JBRP1_UKTJ
