Logistics Lead ***High Growth Wellness SME*** Salary up to £50,000 + Bonus, Pension, Healthcare and Holiday Location: East Sussex (4 days per week onsite) This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic Logistics Lead to join our client's leadership team.
Reporting to and supporting the Head of Operations, you will work collaboratively across all departments and with external partners, playing an integral role in our client's team.
Your responsibilities include managing product demand, stock, production control, and planning within the supply chain, ensuring seamless coordination with Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Warehouse to prevent bottlenecks and shortages.
Key Duties will include: Implement and manage a new EU third-party logistics (3PL) system, establishing and maintaining strong manufacturer relationships.
Ensure stock is picked and packed on time and in full (OTIF) for shipment EU Amazon fulfilment sites and EU 3PL.
Employ best practices for inbound and outbound product movement, set up and maintain shipment schedules, and ensure all export documents comply with regulatory requirements.
Facilitate business relationships with clients and product suppliers, negotiate shipping costs, maintain an approved supplier list, and conduct regular audits.
Assist with forecasting and monitoring inventory levels using ERP systems, optimizing inventory based on demand and supply chain activities, and managing product storage warehouses to maximize stock turns and cash flow.
Support the production team by coordinating raw materials, in-process materials, and purchased parts to meet customer demand.
Lead and support purchasing through an embedded Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, creating plans, schedules, and work instructions for production.
Manage key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare status reports, and present findings to the senior team.
Support site-related continuous improvement processes as needed.
Qualifications & Experience Background in working with fast-moving SMEs or start-ups.
Proficient in preparing export documents.
Experienced in using ERP systems for stock forecasting.
Knowledgeable in managing third-party logistics (3PLs), suppliers, and manufacturers, with a preference for international contexts.
Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the supply chain.
