£85,000 - £95,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 4) Field/Remote based with national travel (company car provided) We're looking for a dynamic and strategic Logistics General Manager to lead our operational relationship with Co-op's Third Party Logistic (3PL) Providers as well as overseeing the day-to-day management of contracts, ensuring alignment with key success criteria established with the Head of Depot Operations.
In this pivotal role, you'll line manage a dedicated team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between our suppliers and Co-op.
Your expertise will be crucial in managing financial, operational, and reputational risks, all while aligning logistics strategies with business objectives to ensure exceptional service delivery to our stores.

What you'll do Manage logistic operations to create an effective, customer-focused operational plan.
Lead, coach, and develop a multi-disciplinary leadership team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Deliver the operational plan within budget, ensuring a cost-effective operation.
Ensure compliance of contracts, aligning them with the needs of all parties and budgetary constraints.
Lead the Contracts team in tendering, selecting, and negotiating Distribution service contracts.
Manage monthly contract reviews and collaborate with Procurement for quarterly business reviews to monitor supplier performance.
Serve as the primary interface between suppliers and Co-op Distribution, driving collaboration and continuous improvement to support strategic goals.
This role would suit people who have Proven experience managing complex outsourced relationships and large-scale third-party providers, demonstrating strong negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
Strong understanding of logistics, site management, and/or end-to-end food retail operations.
Expertise in navigating dynamic and conflicting priorities from various internal and external partners while fostering effective collaboration.
Customer-focused, with the ability to interpret changing needs and adapt supplier strategies to align with those expectations.
Strong experience of managing a large budget effectively.
