Islands is a family-owned business that grows our own cocoa in the Caribbean and manages the whole process from start to finish, being in control of every stage.
SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Logistics and Supply Chain Associate to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.
This role requires excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
THE ROLE: · Organise and manage (95%) and DTC (5%) customer orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment.
· Monitor and track deliveries, ensuring timely resolution of issues or delays.
· Support end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, production, storage, and distribution.
· Collaborate with carriers, 3PL's and freight forwarders.
· Assist with forecast stock replenishment requirements and plan based on demand trends.
· Analyse supply chain metrics to identify areas of improvement.
· Provide the Operations Manager with reporting data to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
· Maintain accurate inventory records using our ERP system and help to perform routine inventory audits to identify discrepancies.
· Assist with compliance with trade laws, customs requirements, and company health and safety guidelines.
· Act as first in line to cover for warehouse operations - handling picking & packing, and pallet-building for customer orders (only during annual leave cover for Warehouse Manager).
· Ability to create shipping labels and maintain necessary documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs paperwork.
KEY SKILLS: · 1–3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
· Proficiency in inventory management systems and excel.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordination across teams and stakeholders.
· Problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with shipping, logistics processes, and customs regulations.
· Physical capability to lift packages (up to 20kg) and work in a warehouse setting.
