Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Birmingham on an ongoing basis.
This position offers a flexible working week of 4-5 days with no out-of-hours or weekend requirements, providing a great work-life balance.
The ideal candidate will be confident in both medical and surgical cases, working within a supportive and professional team.
Location: Birmingham Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Work Schedule: 4-5 days per week Out-of-Hours (OOH): None Weekends: None Salary: £400 per day Key Responsibilities: Perform consultations, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of small animal cases.
Carry out routine and emergency surgeries as required.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear advice on treatment plans and post-operative care.
Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure high standards of care.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
Qualifications and Skills: Degree in Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent) with current registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
Experience in both small animal medicine and surgery.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to manage a varied caseload.
