Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Berkeley, Gloucestershire.
This flexible role offers the opportunity for full-time or part-time hours, with weekday shifts from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
The role can be focused on consultations only, or a mix of consultations and operations, depending on your preference.
No out-of-hours or weekend work is required, making this position ideal for those seeking a great work-life balance.
Location: Berkeley, Gloucestershire Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Work Schedule: Flexible weekdays (full-time or part-time considered) Shifts: 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM (one-hour break) Role Type: Consultations only or Consultations & Operations Out-of-Hours (OOH): None Key Responsibilities: Conduct consultations, providing thorough examinations, diagnosis, and treatment plans for a wide variety of cases.
Option to perform surgeries and other medical procedures as required, depending on preference.
Provide excellent communication with clients, delivering advice on treatment plans, post-operative care, and general pet care.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Qualifications and Skills: Degree in Veterinary Medicine with current registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
Strong experience in small animal consultations and/or surgery, depending on your chosen focus.
Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
