Locum Veterinary Surgeon (Ad Hoc Shifts)

We are seeking a flexible and skilled Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide cover on an ad hoc basis in the Dorset and Somerset areas.
This position offers a mix of consultations and surgeries, with flexible dates and shifts available from October to December 2024.
Location : Dorset & Somerset Dates : October to December 2024 (Flexible dates available) Shifts : 1-4 Days per week (Flexible) 8:30am 6:30pm or 9:00am 7:00pm Role : Consultations & Operations Key Responsibilities: Conduct consultations and routine examinations for a variety of small animal cases.
Perform a range of surgical procedures, from routine operations to more complex surgeries.
Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage cases effectively.
Communicate clearly with pet owners, offering advice on treatment options and post-operative care.
Requirements: Must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a valid veterinary license.
Experience in both consultations and operations is essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in different practice environments.
Flexibility to work between 1-4 days per week, depending on availability.
