Job summary Weare looking for a Locum Trust Grade Doctor.
The post holders main role is toprovide clinical input and support team members of the Community Mental HealthTeam which provide mental health services to adult patients of working age(18-65) in the Exeter area of Devon.
Thisis a full time, community-based post (though interested LTFT candidates willalso be considered).
The Post holder will be mainly based at the DevonPartnership Trust base at Wonford House hospital in Exeter, where admin spaceand secretarial support will be provided.Thepost holder would be supported to construct a personal development plan with thesupport of the line manager (consultant psychiatrist supervising the postholder), and will have dedicated weekly SPA time, study leave and funding tosupport continuing professional development.
This is Fixed Termfor 12 Months Main duties of the job TheCommunity Mental Health Team provides on-going support for patients with severeand enduring mental illness and complex needs.
The post holder is expected tobe actively involved in formulating a care plan and treatment plan based onevidence-based treatment guidelines.The post holder is expected towork in close liaison and collaboratively with other services/agencies.
The post holder would be a key member of themulti-disciplinary team.The team provides initialassessments of patients who are referred to the Service and triaged by theReferrals management service.
With the active involvement of the post holder inthe consultation and treatment of complex cases, multi-disciplinary ( MDT )meetings and the triage process, this team accepts referrals to the CMHT ortransfer patients back to primary care or make referrals to appropriateservices available in the community, voluntary sector agencies and/orSpecialist services About us About Devon Partnership TrustWe provide mental health, learning disability and neurodiversity services, as well as a range of specialist & secure services for the wider south west region & nationally.

Person Specification Clinical Skills, Team Working Skills and Interpersonal Skills Essential Competent in history taking, some diagnostic skills and examination skills and basic formulations skills Good team member across all clinical areas of work.
Willing to seek help from senior colleagues when needed, patient centred kind and compassionate care speaking and writing good English.
Desirable Accepting responsibility for clinical decisions and a desire to improve Psychiatry skills all the time.
Leadership Able to establish good working relationships with other members of a multidisciplinary team Qualifications Essential MB BS or equivalent Registration with GMC Desirable Any other or teaching qualifications Attitude, Motivation and Management Ability Essential Professional and courteous at all times Commitment to career progression and delivering excellent service being dedicated and responsible regarding safe patient care.

Desirable Able to function successfully under stress Contributes to departmental training sessions Able to organise own learning Good organisational skills and time management Experience Essential Completed pre-registration year/s and experience as middle grade doctor Desirable Previous meaningful Psychiatry knowledge and experience Knowledge Essential Experience of understanding and application of knowledge in Psychiatry.
Understanding principles of medical audit and research Ability Essential Ability to interview and assess patients and write clear and comprehensive notes Desirable Demonstration ability to work with persons with mental health problems Other Essential Ability to be mobile across a geographical area.
To be IT literate Desirable Demonstrates willingness to accept constructive feedback.
