Locum Consultant in COTE and General Internal MedicineWe are looking to recruit a motivated Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine to join colleagues in a dynamic general medicine service within the Health Board in delivering and supporting the Welsh Government's vision for NHS Wales.
This new appointment will join the team of established medical consultants working across Pembrokeshire and will have support to develop/maintain a specialist interest.

You would work in the General Medical Department and Care of the Elderly.
You will be responsible for the management of patients presenting to Withybush General Hospital with medical problems and will lead a team of junior doctors.
Within this role you will work across Acute and Community COTE Medicine.
In this post you will contribute to a current on-call rota at Withybush based on a 1:12 non-resident on-call, which you will be expected to reside (for on-call purposes) within 30 minutes of the Hospital.

The successful candidate for this Locum Consultant post will be eligible to hold an Honorary Academic title at a partner university on the understanding that they will participate in undergraduate teaching, including acting as an examiner, and support and facilitate research activities in an appropriate university faculty and school.
They will take direction in these activities via the appropriate academic lead.
The agreement to define the Honorary Academic responsibilities and associated programmed activities in relation to teaching time and research will be negotiated jointly between the post holder, the university and the Health Board.
