Job summary Thisexciting locum opportunity has arisen due to the need for additional cover forour current activities.

Applicants shouldpossess, or be within 6 months of receiving a CCT at the time of the advisoryappointments committee Main duties of the job The mainduties of the posts will include:Elective Theatre lists: for a variety of different surgicalspecialties including general surgery, bariatrics, urology, gynaecology,orthopedics, plastic & burns surgery, ENT and maxillofacialAnaesthetic services elsewhere in the hospital ( forAdult and Paediatric Emergencies requiring anaesthetic support)Urgent and emergency care duties, with schedules taking dueaccount of the provisions of working time regulations and safe working.Supporting Professional Activities in accordance with theTrust Framework, with at least aminimum of SPAs included in the core 10PA timetable About us We are an acute trust caring for over one million people in Wakefield and Kirklees.

Computer literate.
Fully accredited by the college and acceptable to college representative.
Evidence of thorough and broad training and experience in anaesthetics.
Able to take responsibility for delivering service without direct supervision.
Ability to work flexibly within a team Desirable Specific educational interests and evidence of educational ideas or project work.
Evidence of ongoing CPD Qualifications Essential Medical Degree from recognised medical school FRCA or equivalent Desirable Higher qualifications MD, PhD, MSc, MRCP Audit or Case Presentations Teaching qualification/ prize GMC Registration Essential Please state full GMC number Full GMC Registration with licence to practise.
Minimum 6 months experience in Anaesthesia in the UK Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Anaesthetics or within 6 months of obtaining CCT (or CESR / equivalent) by date of interview Desirable Regional Anaesthesia experience Sub-speciality eg obstetric anaesthesia experience Peri-operative interest Management Skills Essential Demonstrates intelligent and analytical approach to problem solving.
Good time management.
Desirable Possess good organisational and personal management skills Involvement in ACSA process
