We are seeking an enthusiastic locum paediatrician to assist in reducing our waiting list of children under 5 years of age needing neurodevelopmental assessment. Many of your duties will be undertaken at Serennu Children's Centre, which provides healthcare and leisure activities for children and young people with a disability or developmental difficulties throughout south Gwent.
Applicants without a driving licence must be able to travel between health board premises within a reasonable timescale to fulfil the requirements of the post. Free parking is available across all Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Sites.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of the paediatric neurodevelopmental team your duties will include assessment clinics and contributing to multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental meetings and ISCAN (Integrated Support for Children with Additional Needs).
You will also contribute to the pan Gwent Child Protection Rota (Monday - Friday only, with no out of hours responsibilities), with medical examinations performed at The Grange University Hospital in Cwmbran.
