Job summary The Children, Young People andMaternity team is made up of three portfolio areas: Children & Young People(SEND/LD/Neuro), Children & Young Peoples Mental Health, and Maternity allworking to improve outcomes for families across Gloucestershire.
We are a largeteam with a range of expertise offering an exciting opportunity for a new teammember to join us as LocalMaternity & Neonatal System (LMNS) Programme Manager ( 30hrs).This is a fantastic opportunity for thesuccessful candidate to flourish in a fast-moving complex environment, workingwith colleagues within our local trusts and wider partnership across the systemwith both clinicians and non-clinicians.
The post-holder will work within theirspecific portfolio area to provide and lead practical support in thedevelopment and execution of programmes and projects of transformationalchange, cost improvement and quality service improvement and redesign.This role is based at Shire Hall inGloucester as well as working remotely from home.

The Ockenden Review The post holder will work with an extensive network of senior clinicians, managers and staff across health care providers within Gloucestershire, NHS England, education and other key partner organisations within the voluntary and community sector.
This is a challenging role and there is a real opportunity for the post-holder to shape and influence the design and delivery of the work programme, by working with colleagues to provide dedicated programme management advice and support.The role has a key responsibility in enabling the transformation of mental health and/or maternity services to deliver improved access to evidence-based care and improved outcomes.
Both portfolios are exciting and highly complex work programmes which will change and improve services for women and families accessing maternity care and children and young people with mental health difficulties.
Person Specification Experience Essential Good knowledge of public health.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
Good knowledge of social care, (education (in the case of children and young people) as well as health care.

Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures.
Knowledge of Financial Systems monitoring budget management, processing invoices and procurement.
Qualifications Essential Knowledge of a range of specific project areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training, plus further specialist project management knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent.
Experience of managing significant health service development projects.
Excellent knowledge of best practice in relation to the specific service area and ability to command respect of other clinicians of all disciplines.
Good knowledge and understanding of local authority processes and political context.
Experience of managing complex operational and strategic workforce programmes.
Desirable At least 3 years management experience.
Experience of leading and motivating a team.
