We are recruiting a Live In Support Worker for our client in his own home in Worcestershire.
You will be working regularly with this client, on a rolling 2 weeks on 2 weeks off shift pattern.
As part of the role is to drive our client, you must have a full UK drivers licence.
Meet our client: Our client is a lovely gentleman who has a spinal cord injury but still enjoys being as active as possible.
He is a dedicated vegetarian who prefers to eat tasty vegetarian meals with his Support Workers and has 2 dogs who he adores but needs support with their care.
When you'll be working: Rolling rota 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off Living in the client's home 24/7 when on shift Zero hour contact with regular shifts as above What you will be doing: Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters as much as possible Liaise with and support the family as required Assist the client to ensure an adequate level of hygiene is maintained (including washing, dressing and toileting) Supporting the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events Follow the service user plan as documented for the client Maintain accurate and confidential records Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the care manager as appropriate What you will have: A full clean UK driving licence A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible Previous experience of working with individuals with a spinal injury is desirable but not essential as full training will be given Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to learn and develop What to look forward to: Salary £115 up to £135 per day depending on UK experience and qualifications Regular consistent work with set rolling rotas Accrued holiday pay A Nest Personal Pension account We recognise outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme Refer a Friend Scheme and earn yourself up to £1000 by recommending someone you know and, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career with Active Care Group
