Position: Systems Engineer (DALI) Salary: £43,460 Location: London Purpose of the Role Join this leading Lighting and Controls provider as a Systems Engineer.
Your primary responsibilities will include commissioning, setting to work, and witnessing the lighting control scope.
You will also provide off-site and onsite aftercare services to ensure the lighting control system operates at a high level across various projects of varying technical complexity.
Occasional out-of-hours work may be required depending on the client/job specifications.
Key Responsibilities " Commissioning & Aftercare: Commission, set to work, and witness the lighting control scope.
Provide aftercare services to maintain high operational standards. "
IP Network Configuration: Configure routers, gateways, and user interfaces.
Set up peripherals such as sensors, scene panels, and switch interfaces. "
Software Configuration: Grouping, scene control, corridor hold, and daylight regulation. "
System Verification: Verify system operation, report inconsistencies, and provide solutions to ensure optimal site operation. "
Client Training & Support: Train clients and provide technical advice.
Conduct routine PPM works and coordinate communication with customers. "
Reactive Assistance: Troubleshoot and provide reactive aftercare assistance.
Handle small works alterations and client training.
DALI Skills " Address DALI drivers and inverters correctly using Tridonic tools. "
Extend DALI networks and identify/correct duplicate DALI addresses. "
Identify and fault-find DALI shorts and open circuits.
Engineering Tasks " Prepare scheme drawings showing port details for lamps and sensors. "
IP networking, fault-finding, network design, and headend installation.
Documentation " Issue daily SARs and Perspective snag reports. "
Prepare onsite and remote health check reports. "
Regularly back up databases and update site-specific documentation.
Health & Safety " Maintain up-to-date CSCS accreditation and appropriate CSCS Card. "
First Aider certification. "
Ensure electrical safety standards are met.
Other Tasks " Stay updated on new systems and equipment supplied by the client. "
Review systems to ensure optimal product and service combinations. "
Identify upgrade and remedial options and advise the Key Account Manager. "
Liaise with the office for RMA issues and with Sales/Commissioning Manager/Supervisor for additional days or materials quotations. "
Regularly back up and archive project databases and documentation.

Must be London-based and prepared to work on sites around London. "
Must have DALI lighting or similar experience. "
Ideally possess an ECS/JIB card or similar certification. "
Experience in project management, lighting controls, and testing. "
Completion of the 16th, 17th, or 18th edition. "
Must be prepared to work at least one Saturday per month and overtime when required.
