Job title: Light Commercial Vehicle TechnicianLocation: Blackwell, Derbyshire, DE55 (J28, M1)Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus benefitsAdditional benefits: 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Employee Assistance Programme + Life AssuranceContract Type: Permanent 8.00am – 16:00 Monday – Friday (2x 30-minute lunch break) plus fortnightly Saturday mornings 06:00-12:00 (1x 30-minute lunch break).The H. Martin Fleet Maintenance Limited provide maintenance solutions to the H.W.
Martin Group fleet of over 1000 vehicles and equipment whilst also servicing the DAF network as a parts and service agent.We are looking for a skilled LCV Technician to join our team to repair and maintain our fleet of light commercial vehicles.
With over 350 LCVs on our fleet, you will be working at our highly kitted Head Office workshops with use of advanced workshop maintenance and diagnostic systems.Responsibilities and Duties: Carrying out a range of safety inspections, routine maintenance and defect repairs of light commercial vehicles.To liaise with Supervisors and the Parts Department as required to enable efficient and cost-effective repairs to customer's vehicles.To complete to the highest standard job cards and electronic admin.To give highest levels of customer care and act in a courteous manner to all customersTo supply own personal hand and power tools to enable the individual to carry out their duties as required in the role of LCV Technician.
Experience and Qualifications required: Ideally you will have a relevant City & Guilds or a NVQ Level 3 qualification.Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or the equivalent level workplace experience.First class diagnostic skills and fully conversant with the latest repair and maintenance techniques.Ability to manage own workload and work to the highest standards.Full driving licence is required due to our remote location and to be able to travel to other sites.
