We are currently looking to recruit a Lift & Stat Technician on a Permanent Term basis to join the team covering sites across Scotland and North East England.
How can you make a difference?
The Lift and Stat Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and statutory inspections on service lifts as well as other statutory inspections within wind turbines throughout the UK and Ireland.
A high calibre of responsibility and diligence is required to ensure that the safety of personnel using the lifts and other equipment is not compromised.
What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities for this role include: Performing statutory inspections and maintenance on wind turbine service lifts.
Responsible for ensuring that all inspected items are safe for use and performing to lift manufacturer specifications Performing statutory inspections on lifting equipment and accessories, ladders, personal anchor points, and fall arrest systems.
Responsibility for the completion of all required reports and documentation to a high standard in a timely manner.
Responsible to report any defects promptly to the Lift Team Coordinator, local site technicians and local management.
Responsible to advise of any progress issues to the Lift Team Coordinator as soon as possible.
Performing electrical isolations to facilitate the lift work.
Compliance with all Nordex and windfarm requirements including health and safety Writing risk assessments, method statements and work instructions.
Providing technical support regarding service lifts and statutory inspections.
Answering service lift and statutory inspection related tickets in Service Now What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will be a Nordex Authorised Technician with experience of leading turbine works and have prior experience working on Hailo and Zarges lifts.
You will have experience in completing in depth reports and have proven work experience working on wind turbines along with excellent fault finding and problem-solving skills.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team or autonomously dependant on the role.
This individual is required to be physically fit as this role will require the ability to work at heights and will require to appropriate certification.
This role will include regular travel as you will be attending sites across UK and possibly Ireland and will occasionally be required to travel on weekends.
There may also be a requirement to work overtime at short notice when required.
This role also requires the postholder to have a full UK / IE Driving Licence.
