We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to provide exceptional care to a young individual with a Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2 .
Start Date : Late November 2024 Location : Dartford Duration: Permanent Hours: 7-hour shift (11:30 am to 06:30 pm) Mondays + 12-shift (7:15 am to 7:15 pm) Wednesdays + 6.5-hour shift (11:30 am to 06:00 pm) Saturdays Rate of Pay & Benefits: Rate of pay: £14.00 per hour Holidays:5.6 weeks (pro rata) Nest Pension Scheme Bespoke training on the clients particular requirements will be provided About our client: I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to support me with my personal, social and domestic needs.
I am a 25-year-old female and I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2, which has profoundly weakened my voluntary muscles, resulting in me being unable to weight- bear.
As a result, I am a full-time powered wheelchair user, my respiratory system is compromised, and the majority of my nutrition is met via a gastrostomy (G-tube).
I graduated from the University of Sussex with a masters in chemistry 1 st class honours in 2022.
I am now living back at home with my Mum, Dad, and dog.
I love being outdoors and spend a lot of my time in the summer visiting National Trust parks and zoos, as I am also very interested in animal/wildlife conservation and climate change.
I am a massive Disney, Disneyland Paris, and musical theatre fan!
I also enjoy music, my favorite bands being The Script, McFly, Busted and The Vamps.
I enjoy baking, crochet and crafting using my smart cutting machine.
I also enjoy shopping and going to the cinema.
I am currently looking for job/graduate schemes in medical communications and will need PAs to physically support me in work and be able to drive my Motability wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV).
Applicants must be kind, patient, discreet and caring.
Full UK driving license essential, as I would require you to drive my automatic Motability vehicle WAV.
