Job summary You will be an exceptional and engaging trainer whois competent to design and deliver our vital Life Support & First Aidcourses.
In this role you will beresponsible for training the primary and healthcare workforce in essentiallife-saving techniques.
This will involve leading, organising, and schedulingtraining sessions, assessing competency, and updating training materials inaccordance with relevant guidelines.
Main duties of the job As part of the role, you will also both deliver existing courses and develop new courses relating to Life Support & First Aid, generate leads, and deliver courses across the UK as and when needed.You will work as part of a training team based within general practice and draw upon the knowledge and skills of your colleagues to develop and deliver exception learning.Additionally, as part of this role you will be required to analyse feedback, implement improvements, and provide reports on the impact and evaluation of the training that you deliver.This role is for a dynamic and experienced trainer who is passionate about educating others in life-saving techniques and committed to maintaining high standards in training delivery.You must work at all times within your own competence and use your own judgement, knowledge and common sense in your day-to-day activities.

As the host for the Primary Care Workforce andTraining Hub in Humber and North Yorkshire, we provide support for GP practicesacross the region, coordinating local schemes and training initiatives onbehalf of NHS England.
We also offer further training services through HaxbyGroup Training, developing and delivering practice-based interactive coursesfor clinicians and support staff based in primary care.
Job description Job responsibilities Teaching/Training Responsibilities: Conduct Life Support Courses (BLS & ILS) and First Aid training sessions for both clinical and non-clinical staff.
Lead and manage the Life Support and First Aid courses, ensuring high-quality delivery.
Plan and schedule training sessions efficiently.
Evaluate participants' skills and knowledge to ensure competency against relevant bodies.
Regularly update training materials to align with current standards and guidelines.
Develop new courses related to Life Support & First Aid, and peripheral topics.
Identify and generate leads for training opportunities.
Travel across the UK to deliver training sessions as required.
Monitoring and evaluating training programmes effectiveness, success and return on investment and reporting on them.
Identifying and assessing future and current training opportunities and needs.
Developing and maintaining key links between Haxby Group Training and other stakeholders such as educational establishments or organisations; NHS organisational bodies; non-NHS establishments; other practices; actual and potential business clients; and other providers.
Maintaining suitable records of communications, reports and other activities, ensuring others have appropriate access as required, utilising Information Technology to maximum benefit.
Maintaining a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practice.
Undertaking additional tasks as required within your role.
Leadership responsibilities: Work collaboratively and support your line manager as required.
Manage Health & Safety and educate staff.
Participate in meetings as required.
Have a full understanding of our bookings & appointment system.

Knowledge/ Qualifications/ Skills Essential Minimum of 2 years of experience in delivering Life Support Course (BLS & ILS) and First Aid training.
Proven experience in training both clinical and non-clinical workforce.
Strong knowledge of learning theories, pedagogical practices, and instructional design methods.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to design engaging and effective learning experiences.
It is essential you hold all the relevant and in-date qualifications to deliver Life Support courses such as the BLSi & ILSi Be occupationally competent in the areas of delivery.
Hold a current Level 3 First Aid at Work Certificate issued by either HSE or an Awarding Organisation/Body Collect and analyse feedback from training sessions to identify areas for improvement.
Implement improvements based on feedback to enhance training effectiveness.
Provide detailed reports on the impact and evaluation of training sessions.
Occupationally competent in training and/or assessing in line with the Learning and Development NOS 9 Assess Learner Achievement evidenced by holding a teaching qualification listed below: SQA Accredited Learning and Development Unit 9DI Assess workplace competences using direct and indirect methods replacing Units A1 and D32/33 SQA Accredited Learning and Development Unit 9D - Assess workplace competence using direct methods replacing Units A2 and D32 QCF Qualifications based on the Learning and Development NOS 9 Assess Learner Achievement Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (QCF) Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (QCF) Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (QCF) Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (QCF) A1 or D32/D33 A2 or D32 Further and Adult Education Teachers Certificate Cert Ed/PGCE/B Ed/M Ed PTLLS/CTLLS/DTLLS S/NVQ level 3 in Training and Development S/NVQ level 4 in Training and Development IHCD Instructional Methods IHCD Instructor Certificate English National Board 998 Training Group A22, B22, C21, C23, C24 TQFE (Teaching Qualification for Further Education) NOCN Tutor Assessor Award Have experience of scoping out new course opportunities and writing new course content.
