As a Class 1 LGV Driver for our Transport Department, you will be responsible for executing bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide.
This role requires a high level of professionalism and commitment to safety standards.
Key responsibilities include: ? Operating and maintaining a modern fleet of vehicles in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
? Adhering strictly to agreed shift patterns to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
? Executing deliveries to HGV-friendly locations with precision and care.
? Performing trailer swaps or overseeing live unloading and reloading processes, as per individual customer requirements.
? Ensuring all necessary documentation is accurately completed and maintained for each journey.
? Conducting thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles to guarantee roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations.
? Representing DPD professionally at all times, maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor with customers and colleagues.
? Promptly reporting any incidents, accidents, or vehicle malfunctions to the appropriate authorities within the company.
? Continuously updating knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in LGV operations.
? Participating in mandatory training sessions to enhance skills and maintain necessary certifications.
