We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
This role also involves occasional lesson cover in the teacher's absence.
Key Responsibilities: Lesson Delivery: Confidently lead lessons in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity in the students' learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
1:1 and Small Group Support: Provide tailored interventions and targeted support to students with a range of SEN needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and sensory impairments.
Positive Behaviour Strategies: Implement and champion positive behaviour management techniques, helping create a safe, inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated activities, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
Monitor and Assess Progress: Conduct observations, assess student progress, and provide detailed feedback to teachers and parents/carers to ensure personalised learning goals are met.
What You Bring: Experience in SEN Settings: You have experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
A strong understanding of various SEN needs, including ASD, sensory impairments, and communication difficulties, is highly desirable.
Leadership and Flexibility: You are confident in leading lessons when required, maintaining an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
Commitment to Inclusive Education: You are patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with SEN to reach their full potential.
Safeguarding Focus: You are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, understanding this as a core aspect of the role.
