Role Overview: We are looking for an ambitious and skilled Lettings Valuer to join our team, with a clear pathway to progress into a Lettings Manager role.
This role is ideal for a candidate with strong valuation experience who is looking to take on more responsibility and grow into a leadership position within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Property Valuations: Conduct accurate and persuasive rental valuations, advising landlords on achievable rental income, market conditions, and the benefits of listing with Hemmingfords.
Client Acquisition: Proactively build relationships with landlords, investors, and property owners to secure new lettings instructions and expand Hemmingfords' portfolio.
Market Insight: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the North London property market, particularly in Islington, Angel, Hackney, Dalston, and surrounding areas, to provide expert advice and support strategic decision-making.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, off-market properties, and areas for growth to meet and exceed team targets.
Training & Team Support: As you progress towards the Lettings Manager role, take on mentorship of junior staff, support team development, and share market knowledge.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure that all lettings transactions and advice comply with legal standards and Hemmingfords' high standards for client service.
Essential Skills & Experience: Valuation Expertise: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in lettings or property valuation, with a proven track record in securing new instructions.
Local Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the North London lettings market, particularly Islington and surrounding areas.
Relationship Management: Excellent interpersonal skills with a talent for building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Leadership Potential: Motivated to take on managerial responsibilities, with an interest in leading a team and supporting junior team members.
Target-Oriented: Demonstrated success in a target-driven role, with a proactive approach to achieving and exceeding goals.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with lettings legislation, health and safety standards, and property management best practices.
Full, Clean UK Driving Licence: Required for travel to property valuations and client meetings.
Preferred Skills & Attributes: Business Acumen: Ability to recognise market opportunities and develop strategies to grow Hemmingfords' lettings portfolio.
Negotiation Skills: Strong persuasive skills to secure landlord instructions and manage client expectations.
Analytical Skills: Ability to assess market data and offer accurate, insightful valuation advice.
Mentorship Skills: A supportive, collaborative approach to team development as you transition into a managerial role.
Earnings: £25,000 - £32,000 basic commission OTE £65,000 but with scope for more.
