We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Music Lecturer to join our team, teaching students aged 16-19.
The successful candidate will have a passion for music education and the ability to inspire and engage students across various musical disciplines.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students in achieving their academic and career goals.
Key responsibilities include planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and innovative music lessons, developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum, assessing and evaluating student progress, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, utilising industry-standard projects, staying up-to-date with current trends in the music industry, providing academic and pastoral support, and participating in departmental meetings and professional development activities.The ideal candidate will have a degree in Music or a related field, a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one), proven experience in teaching music to 16-19-year-olds, proficiency in using music technology and industry-standard software, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for music education, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable qualities include experience in delivering a range of musical disciplines, a background in working with diverse student populations, and active engagement in the music industry.
