Permanent, Part Time (0.6) The Creative Industries School with our client are now seeking a specialist Media Make-Up teacher, with expertise in special effects make-up, and period hair and make-up to deliver exciting and industry relevant skills and knowledge to students enrolled on our popular practical vocational courses, predominately at Level 3.
You will have a good understanding of the world of current media make-up and will be able to support students in developing higher specialist level skills and understanding.
You will be expected to plan, teach and assess your subject specialism within relevant qualification frameworks, primarily BTEC.
It is anticipated that working days will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week.
We would like you to hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and a qualification in a subject area relevant to media make-up (production arts) and/or evidence of significant specialist industry experience.
With good industry knowledge to support work experience and industry placements that are integral to the Study Programme offer, you will have a clear understanding of relevant Health & Safety requirements in this sector.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that is due to be implemented imminently.
