Lecturer Inclusive Learning (Asd & Behaviours Of Concern)

Details of the offer

You will provide sessions in line with Preparing for adulthood this will include Life & Living skills, community and relationships, Health and Wellbeing, communication, and employability.
You will care for a group of learners with complexed learning and sensory needs, students may have multiple barriers to learning such as communication, cognition, sensory (vision & hearing) and Physical.
You will act as a Course Leader and take responsibility for their study programme including embedded Maths and English.
You will take an active role in all aspects of student assessment and accreditation and take part in curriculum planning and product development, to deliver the Colleges strategic objectives.
Candidates for this role will be qualified and have experience of working with and understand the needs of SEND and be able to work successful as part of a team.
As an experienced teacher you will be able to manage students with challenging behaviour and demonstrate the ability to teach and to communicate at a level appropriate to the students and in a way that recognises their different learning abilities.
You will be aware of the changing agenda for SEND learners in further education, and the implications that this has for delivery and promotion of learning.
You will have knowledge of the accreditation framework and assessment strategies in the post 16 sector, including RARPA and understand the application of information technology and assistive technology to teaching and learning strategies.
Your experience will include working with external agencies and a therapy team to ensure students needs are met.
