Job Description: Lecturer in Childcare Position : Lecturer in Childcare Location : Hartlepool Salary : £35.00 per hour Reporting to : Head of Department Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Childcare to join an FE college in Hartlepool .
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring the next generation of childcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities Teaching and Curriculum Delivery Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lectures, workshops, and seminars in Childcare and Early Years Education.
Develop and assess coursework, assignments, and examinations in line with the curriculum.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse student needs and learning styles.
Student Support and Mentorship Provide academic support and guidance to students, ensuring their personal and professional development.
Act as a mentor and advisor for students undertaking projects, placements, or research.
Curriculum Development Collaborate with colleagues to review and enhance childcare-related modules and programs.
Ensure that course content aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Research and Professional Development Conduct research in areas related to childcare, child development, or early years education.
Stay updated with current developments and best practices in childcare and integrate them into teaching.
Collaboration and Administration Participate in department meetings, planning sessions, and staff training.
Contribute to recruitment, admissions, and promotional activities for the childcare program.
