Location: Our sessions are based at community venues across Surrey, with this role being primarily based in Guildford and Woking.
Hours: Variable Hours contract working primarily across sessions running Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm, during term time.
Annual Leave: 30 days pro-rata, inclusive of bank holidays.
Training: Fully paid training is given and further development opportunities are available.
We are looking for people to support learners in an outreach capacity on our fantastic community based learning programme, Building Futures, around the local Guildford and Woking areas.
You can watch the video below to find out more about the Building Futures Programme.You will be responsible for:Providing highly person-centred 1:1 support to young adults, Helping to promote life skills, independence, social skills, leisure opportunities, educational provision and community access.Reporting actual or potential safeguarding matters to the Project Worker, Year Leader, Building Futures management team or Head of Safeguarding without delay.Please see below for an example of what a week in Building Futures may look like:Excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills.
Due to the physical nature of the programme and community working, a good level of fitness and stamina is required.Suitable references.Aged 18 and above.Right to work in the UKWilling to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check.
The initial cost of the DBS application will be paid for by halow.Please note, it is a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated Activity (Under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act 2006) to apply for role that requires them to work unsupervised with that particular group (i.e.
