Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored academic and emotional support to students with additional educational needs, ensuring continuity and progress in their learning journey.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and support staff, to address individual student requirements.
Support students within lessons and the Student Support Room, offering both academic assistance and a listening ear as an Emotionally Available Adult.
Act as a role model for positive behavior, resilience, and control, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Experience & Skills Required: A passion for working with children with special educational needs in secondary schools.
A genuine interest in understanding and positively influencing how children learn and behave.
Commitment to maintaining professional confidentiality while adhering to safeguarding protocols.
Dedication to attending training and meetings to stay current on best practices in special education support.
