Learning Support Intervention Practitioner  Full time  Fareham January start      Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary school that is a well-regarded institution located in a pleasant village near the coast, offering a comprehensive education for students aged 11-16.
The school is known for its high-quality education and inclusive environment, where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
The school has a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision, ensuring that all students receive the support they need.
This includes a specialised resource provision which caters to high-functioning autistic students.
These students can access mainstream lessons with the assistance of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to help them integrate and succeed in the classroom.
Additionally, the school has a team of SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) and LSAs who work closely with students requiring extra support.
The school also provides various resources and facilities to accommodate students with physical and learning disabilities, including wheelchair access, accessible toilets, and designated parking bays.

  The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, support teams, and students to provide targeted interventions that enhance learning outcomes.
You will help students overcome barriers to learning, build their confidence, and promote a positive attitude towards education.
Key Responsibilities Delivering Targeted Interventions: Provide tailored support to students in small groups or one-to-one settings.
Assist with developing literacy and numeracy skills through structured intervention programs.
Supporting Classroom Learning: Work alongside teachers to ensure all students can access the curriculum.
Support students with additional needs, ensuring they feel included and valued in the classroom environment.
Monitoring Progress: Track and report on students' progress, identifying areas for further support.
Collaborate with teaching staff to adjust intervention plans based on student needs.
Building Relationships: Establish positive, supportive relationships with students to encourage engagement and resilience.
Act as a mentor, helping students to develop confidence and motivation in their studies.
Promoting a Positive Learning Environment: Work with colleagues to create an inclusive and supportive educational setting.
Uphold the school's policies and values, promoting respect and high expectations for all learners.
  The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed.
You should have: Qualifications: A good standard of education, including Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy skills (or equivalent).
Experience (Desirable): Previous experience working with young people in a professional capacity is advantageous but not essential.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to problem-solving.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
