Learning Support Assistants (Fixed term until 31 July 2025) £11.78 per hour (FTE £21,119) Variable hours as and when required We are looking for candidates to join our friendly and dedicated team of Learning Support Assistants who play a vital role in supporting our students.
Working with students with disabilities; learning difficulties; and health conditions you will help them to achieve their learning goals and contribute to an outstanding student experience at the college.
We are looking for individuals who are flexible, as hours of work are varied, predominantly during the day but there may be some evening or weekend working.
Key Responsibilities Providing learning support to students with declared learning difficulties, disabilities and/or health conditions using a range of learning support strategies Contributing towards students achieving their learning goals Provide in-class and out-of-class support for students with learning needs Actively seek opportunities to promote self-esteem, confidence and independence.
Work collaboratively with curriculum tutor so plan support for students Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Knowledge and understanding of learning difficulties, disabilities, health conditions and their impact on learning.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing an outstanding student experience.
Experienced in the use of assistive technology to facilitate learning An experienced and confident user of IT.
Educated to at least GCSE English and Maths (Grades C/4 or above) or equivalent Have the experience and ability to work in a supportive role with adults in an educational environment.
