Learning Support Assistant SEN and general classroom support Full-Time or Part-Time Bristol and surrounding areas Here at Long–Term Teachers, we have a number of Learning Support Assistant positions available around Bristol and the surrounding areas. The Primary Schools we work with are very passionate about finding the correct individual to work closely with pupils who need additional support with their education or day to day activities in school. The Role As a Learning Support Assistant you will have the opportunity to work within a local Primary School supporting children on a 1 to 1 basis throughout either EYFS, KS1 or KS2 classrooms. Depending on your flexibility, these positions can be full-time or part-time.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children with SEN or have a strong understanding and knowledge of Special Educational Needs. You will need to be confident in adapting activities and delivering sessions to children individually, and assessing their development to communicate clearly with the class teacher. You will be expected to: Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop activities. Be enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible in a wonderful lively environment Can show sensitivity, compassion and empathy to working and caring for children Motivated and interested in encouraging and participating in children's play Create a safe, learning environment Manage and Support with the child's needs.
