Job Opportunity: Learning Support Assistant – SEND School (Wellingborough) A small and dedicated SEND school in Wellingborough is looking for a compassionate and committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team.
The school provides tailored education and opportunities for pupils with EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans), supporting those with SEND diagnoses and associated behaviours.
This is a full-time, temporary role, with the potential for permanent opportunities for the right candidate.
Position Details: Role: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Wellingborough  Contract Type: Temporary (full-time) Start Date: January or sooner Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils, helping them engage in lessons and achieve their individual goals Assist with the delivery of tailored education plans, working closely with teaching staff Support pupils' emotional and social development, using strategies to manage associated behaviours Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment, fostering confidence and independence in students Requirements: Experience supporting young people with SEND, either professionally or personally Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to working with pupils with additional needs A strong commitment to improving outcomes for children with diverse learning requirements Availability for a full-time, term-time role About the School: This school is a vital part of the local community, offering pupils with SEND a nurturing and supportive environment where they can thrive.
