Job Description Are you a compassionate and empathetic individual committed to supporting children and young people with complex learning disabilities?
Our client, a specialist school located in rural Surrey, is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their team on a temporary or temp-to-perm basis, making a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
\n The organization specialises in helping service users with complex learning disabilities, severe social communication difficulties, and behavioural challenges.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting these individuals within an educational environment.
\n \n Pay : £13.69 (including holiday pay) Location : Surrey \n Benefits : \n \n Temporary or temp-to-perm contract options \n Ad hoc shifts available \n Opportunity to work with a reputable organisation offering outstanding training \n Weekly pay \n \n Responsibilities : \n \n Assist students with special educational needs in the classroom, helping them engage with lessons and complete tasks in line with their learning plans.
\n Encourage the development of social skills by facilitating peer interactions and participation in group activities.
\n Monitor and document student progress, reporting to teachers, parents, and other professionals to help refine support strategies.
\n Provide personal care support, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance, ensuring the comfort and well-being of students.
\n \n Requirements : \n \n Empathy, enthusiasm, compassion, and mental, physical, and emotional resilience.
\n At least 6 months of experience working in care or education, preferably with children or young people with special needs.
\n A valid driver's license and access to a car due to the rural location.
