Learning Support Assistant Location: Lincoln Contract Type: Full-Time Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: ASAP Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their potential?
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant school in Lincoln .
This role is perfect for individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
As a Learning Support Assistant , you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support for students, enabling them to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
You will play a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
SEN LSA Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and adapted lesson plans.
Help students develop essential social, emotional, and academic skills.
Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and confidence.
Support students in managing their behaviour and staying focused during lessons.
Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and SEN staff.
Assist with personal care and mobility needs, if required.
Build trusting relationships with students, acting as a mentor and positive role model.
Work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and school staff to support student development.
Maintain a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
Learning Support Assistant Requirements: Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting is essential.
Experience in working as a Learning Support Assistant is desirable.
CACHE Level 3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or childcare certification is desirable.
Any degree in Education, Psychology or in a relevant field.
A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and environments.
