A school from Leeds is looking for a determined SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible on a long-term basis with the potential to go permanent.

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will be working 1:1 with a pupil diagnosed with autism and challenging behaviour in and out of the classroom.
Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant Location: Leeds The ideal SEN Learning Support Assistant should: Required: Have experience working with SEN children on a 1:1 basis or in classes.
Have knowledge and understanding of various SEN needs.
Be flexible, patient, and proactive.
Be able to communicate with staff members effectively and efficiently.
Be trained in safeguarding or have relevant experience.
Be able to commute to work long term on time and accordingly.
Desirable: Team Teach Trained.
NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
Understanding of the UK SEN Code of Practice.
Skills: Effective communicator.
Time management.
Patience and resilience in challenging environments.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years.
