About the role: The role of a learning support assistant is essential in providing outstanding care, education and support to students with social, emotional and mental health challenges.
Working with students across KS2 - KS4, the school emphasises student wellbeing while creating pathways for success.
The students you will support come from a range of diverse backgrounds and some may face unique challenges, including autism and ADHD.
Due to the nature of the students, confidence in managing challenging behaviours is essential for this role.
The school follows a therapeutic approach to education, fostering meaningful relationships to build a nurturing and supportive environment where students can truly thrive.
This approach has contributed to high attendance and positive student outcomes.
Key responsibilities: Inspiring and nurturing students both in and out of the classroom Provide focused support in small groups or one-to-one, based on individual needs Assisting classroom teachers to help students engage meaningfully and succeed in their learning Ideal candidate: We are looking for someone who is positive, empathetic and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
Experience or knowledge of social, emotional and mental health needs is highly desirable.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30, term time only.
