We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our inclusive school community.
In this role, you will provide essential support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities: Supporting students with a range of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities.
Working 1:1 or with small groups to provide tailored learning support.
Assisting the class teacher in creating and adapting resources to meet individual needs.
Encouraging and promoting social, emotional, and academic development.
Supporting with personal care when required.
Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor and track student progress.
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or other relevant setting.
A patient, caring, and empathetic nature.
The ability to build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A flexible and creative approach to problem-solving.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Relevant qualifications, such as a Teaching Assistant qualification or SEN training, would be desirable.
