We are seeking a passionate, dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant.

Key Purpose of Job To assist learners on Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and with barriers to learning who have diverse support and learning needs.
These learners range from those with special educational, social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
Collaborating with the SENCo, the Learning Support Assistant will build relationships with learners to achieve success and develop their potential.
Key Task / Responsibilities To provide learning support to learners with SEND and on EHCPs on a 1:1 or small group basis.
To carry out small group delivery workshops in Maths and English (GCSE and Functional Skills).
To differentiate and facilitate learning according to learner needs.
To create and modify learning resources as advised by the SENCo and main tutor.
Implement appropriate strategies and interventions in accordance with learner EHC Plans and learning difficulties and disabilities.
To work with learners to produce Individual Learning Support Plans (ILPs), learner profiles and set appropriate SMART targets for the year.
To assist the main tutors in maintaining records of learner progress e.g., ILPs, Additional Learning Support Plans and SMART targets.
To act as a main port of call for such learners and provide pastoral support as required to aid engagement, well-being and learner achievement.
To contribute to EHCP Annual Reviews (where appropriate) to ensure continuous progress towards educational outcomes.
To attend in house training and relevant meetings relevant to the post in order to keep up to date with developments in working with learners with SEND.
To provide regular feedback to the SENCo and, where necessary, relevant outside agencies about any learners difficulties and progress.
To comply with the company SEND and safeguarding policies and procedures.
To maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to learner needs.
Requirements A good standard of Education including grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths.
Knowledgeable in SEND and learning difficulties.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Knowledgeable in sport principles, particularly NCFE Level 3 Sports qualifications is desirable but not essential.
AET (Level 3) or an equivalent Teaching/Training qualification or willingness to work towards.
Have a patient and empathetic nature.
Ability to be proactive and driven in supporting learners reach their full potential.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan and deliver effective interventions and manage/adapt resources effectively.
Ability to work alongside the SENCo and main tutors, and independently.
