Learning Mentor

Details of the offer

The Role: Work closely with the school's pastoral team as a learning mentor, providing support to students in overcoming learning barriers.
Lead initiatives targeting individual and small groups of students, creating an environment conducive to learning and personal development.
Establish and maintain open communication channels with teaching staff, parents/carers, and additional needs/EAL staff to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Supervise and support students in the Focus Area, offering guidance on tasks, ensuring completion of assignments, and collecting work.
Maintain accurate daily records and efficiently perform necessary administrative tasks.
Develop and implement personalized action plans for students identified by the pastoral team, conducting individual or small group meetings based on a predetermined schedule.
Collaborate with the pastoral team to innovate and implement effective support and intervention packages for students.
Rate dependant on qualifications and experience.
You must: • Be eligible to work in the UK  • Have professional experience working with SEND children in the UK in the last 3 years • Have up to date professional childcare related references (covering the last 2 years) • Have an enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service or be happy to apply for one All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
