Our wonderful School based in Horsham caters for Primary and Secondary aged pupils who have autism and associated needs.
We are currently seeking full time student mentors to join us as soon as possible!
As a student mentor, you will be playing a huge role in providing students with ongoing academic, social, emotional and behaviour support.
Autism can be a challenging disability for young people to navigate and pupils may struggle with sensory needs, focus, behaviour and social interaction; your role will involve boosting pupils confidence, self-esteem and passion for learning!
Day to day , you will be working either 1:1 or with small classes of pupils, working alongside a friendly class teacher and fellow support staff; delivering lessons and activities which are tailored to maximise pupil engagement and best support their needs.
This could involve venturing out to the PE facilities for ball games and athletics, heading to the art suites to help pupils pursue a passion in music, drama or design tech as well as finding ways to engage pupils in core subjects such as English and Science.
