NLG is one of Yorkshires most established, innovative, and highly accredited healthcare recruitment agencies and healthcare staffing providers We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual to join the our ever growing team Role of Learning Difficulties and Challenging Behaviour Lead Providing leadership to the LD team, reviewing workforce schedules daily ensuring safe service, promoting and protecting the welfare of all LD service users supported by the service.
Monitor daily performance of LD team to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently and timely.
Evaluation of the LD services goals and quality objectives, providing strategic and responsive insight.
Written reports detailing incidents or safeguarding concerns.
Liaising with Providers to ensure all necessary reports are sent within the required deadlines.
Ensuring multidisciplinary team working is embedded in the LD service.
Develop lasting relationships with social workers and commissioners, building on the reputation of NL Group as the first port of call for their service user care requirements.
Identifying new business opportunities when they present.
Contribute to the 24 hour/365 days per year service requirements, through having a competent, effective and fair on-call process in situ for the LD team.
Seek to resolve/de-escalate situations effectively and safely.
Ensure staff that work on the LD contingent workforce have the appropriate level of training including practical face-to-face training.
To work within the regulatory requirements of the CQC, always striving to exceed the quality statements and outcomes.
Work in collaboration with NL Groups Registered Manager (CQC).
Comply with the requirements of strict confidentiality and sensitivity regarding LD service users.
To participate in quality improvement within the organisation.
Act as an expert LD resource and role model for colleagues, partner organisations and service users.
Maintain professional behaviour whilst upholding the reputation of NL Group.
Create and uphold an open, positive and inclusive environment.
Work as an integral part of the on-call out of hours team.
Qualifications & Experience Candidates should possess NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social care above or Equivalent working experience .
Experience of managing complex learning difficulties and/or Mental Health Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Excellent listening skills with an empathetic approach Ability to influence and negotiate with others Experience of care planning and organising Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills A keen eye for behavioural changes IT skills including Microsoft Office applications A calm and resilient approach to managing problems Highly organised, methodical work ethic and excellent attention to detail Driving is essential due to the nature of the role Monday to Friday shift pattern 40 hours per week.
