Job Summary The Lead Visual Communications Designer will play a crucial role in translating our client's vision, identity, and story into visitor experiences through graphics and environmental graphics design. The ideal candidate possesses an expertise in graphic design and visual communications in experiential-built environments and entertainment.
Role & Responsibilities Engage in the creation and collaboration within dynamic two and three-dimensional spaces, bringing a unique and imaginative touch to each project. Conceptualize, benchmark, and establish the distinctive visual identity of spaces, contributing to the overall ambiance and atmosphere. Foster continuous communication with design leadership throughout project lifecycles, ensuring seamless coordination from design inception to fabrication and final installation. Contribute to the creation of compelling project design presentations, graphics, and documents, supporting effective communication with clients. Maintain a comprehensive design approach while coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, consultants, and freelancers. Articulate and convey designs to various organizational levels both within and outside the company, demonstrating proficiency in written and oral communication and a willingness to give and receive constructive feedback. Demonstrate a well-developed understanding and application of design strategy, incorporating color, form, hierarchy, typography, imagery, materiality, and various design methods. Create and apply graphic systems to a variety of entertainment project types, exhibit, sports, brand, and experience design projects with an eye for detail and accuracy. Possess familiarity with the architectural process, including the ability to interpret construction documents, elevations, plans, and shop drawings. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications or equivalent experience required. A minimum of 4 years of experience as lead designer in a professional studio organization or design company. Must have proven exhibit design, entertainment, branding, and environmental graphic design experience. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, and Excel), Microsoft Teams. Keynote software and CAD tools for Illustrator experience is a major plus.
